The Ottawa Extrusion Cell with extrusion plate and wire insert that can perform a variety of tests on canned food products. Food products included but not limited to: Fruits, Vegetables, Pasta, etc. The cell includes an aluminum extrusion box with internal dimension of 5.1cm x 4.5cm by 11.5cm tall. The cell is fitted into a standard cell holder (Model No. FOOD.00100.10) and positively held in place with mounting screws. The cell has a slot at the base that receives extrusion or wire insert plates. These plates are positively locked to the bottom of the extrusion tube by set screws. The 4.95cm x 4.10cm beveled aluminum plunger is supplied with a 6” long push rod.
